CTEVH/CTEBVI: California Transcribers and Educators of the Visually Handicapped/California Transcribers and Educators of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Annual Conference. CTEVH is an organization of transcribers (Braillists), educators, orientation and mobility specialists, rehabilitation counselors, administrators of schools and agencies, parents of visually impaired individuals, librarians,paraprofessionals, students and other advocates for the visually impaired. CAPVI holds its annual general meeting and annual board meeting at this event. CAPVI presents workshops for parents of children with visual impairments as part of this conference. Lowenfeld-Akeson Symposium. Annual symposium for educators, counselors, orientation and mobility specialists, and parents of children with visual impairments, held at the California School for the Blind in Fremont, CA, usually in late January or early February. This symposium generally addresses visual impairment in early childhood. Sponsored by Blind Babies Foundation, CAPVI, the California School for the Blind, and NCAER (Northern California Association of Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired).
