Camping for visually impaired students or their entire families: 

Camp Bloomfield -- near Malibu, run by Junior Blind of America (contact www.juniorblind.org).

Enchanted Hills, near Napa, run by Lighthouse for the Blind in San Francisco (contact www.lighthouse-sf.org). Family camps, youth camp, caregivers and others, adult blind camp.

Global Explorers (www.globalexplorers.org) runs programs across 5 continents that include tremendous adventures for youth, including deaf or visually impaired students.  Their amazing adventures are not free, but are very exhilarating and life-changing events that lead to increased self-confidence.

Lighthouse for the Blind in San Francisco runs a youth recreation program that includes various activities, including dances and kayaking.  Check their website www.lighthouse-sf.org.

Society for the Blind in Sacramento offers a summer camp program for visually impaired youth, and an annual scholarship, as well as other opportunities.  Check their website at www.societyfortheblind.org for details about all of their programs.

Visions is a youth program run by Junior Blind of America in Los Angeles.  They offer a variety of activities, including skiing in the winter.  Check www.juniorblind.org.
